Chris de Putron

Director

Chris is a qualified Trust & Estate Practitioner with over 25 years’ experience in the finance industry, exclusively in the fiduciary and funds sectors. He was born and educated in Guernsey and after obtaining a degree in Business Economics at the University of Wales, Cardiff, Chris returned to Guernsey in 1996 to join a large independent trust company. In 2000 Chris moved to Bermuda to work for a large bank in their trust company and in 2003 Chris returned to work in Guernsey with the bank. In 2005 Chris joined Jupiter and was appointed a Director in 2007. Chris completed his Society of Trusts & Estates Practitioners (‘STEP’) Diploma in International Trust Management in 2005.

Chris is a fiduciary and funds specialist, with experience in administering complex corporate and trust structures, as well as pensions and estate planning, for both corporate and private clients based in Guernsey and internationally. His funds specialism is in closed ended property and private equity fund structures for international clients and listed PLCs.

He is a keen sportsman, playing squash and is also involved in technical diving. He enjoys spending time boating with his wife Mandy and their two children.

Simon Savident

Director

Simon is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry, having qualified in Guernsey, where he was also born and educated. He has spent his career in Guernsey since leaving practice in 1995 and has focussed on fiduciary services since 1997, whilst gaining experience in the funds and captive insurance sectors as well. Simon is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner, having completed the Society of Trusts & Estates Practitioners (‘STEP’) Diploma in International Trust Management in 2004. Simon joined Jupiter as a Director in 2016. He served as a committee member of the Guernsey Branch of STEP until 2019, having acted as treasurer from 2010 until 2015 and again from 2018-2019.

Simon is a fiduciary and funds specialist, with experience in complex corporate and trust structures for international clients, as well as closed ended fund structures primarily in property and private equity.

When out of the office, he enjoys sport, primarily golf, swimming and (in fair weather) cycling and retains a keen interest in local hockey, although his playing days are now behind him! He also enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah, his daughter Emily and his dog and watching the changing fortunes of the Welsh rugby team!

Stephen Le Ray

Stephen is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Whilst Stephen has tended to focus on fiduciary matters, he has also been a board member of both listed and non-listed funds.

Stephen’s experience in the fiduciary industry has seen him gain extensive knowledge in commercial property structures, the effective transfer of wealth between generations and dealing with the complex needs of wealthy families. In dealing with commercial property structures Stephen has dealt with a number of high profile transactions in both the UK and Europe and gained a clear and deep understanding of the numerous issues involved including taxes, funding requirements and the importance of clear and efficient communication with all parties.

Stephen has increasingly spent time dealing with the affairs of the families and individuals behind such structures, ensuring the families wider financial needs are met. This family office service has seen Stephen develop deep and long lasting relationships through all family generations and their advisors, as they seek to secure both their own financial future as well as make sure their children and wider family’s futures are secured and protected.

Outside of the office he enjoys spending time with his family, watching most sports as well as playing sports which generally involve a small ball (squash, golf, cricket to name but a few)!

David McNay

Dave is an experienced investment professional having owned, managed and worked in various disciplines of the financial services sector across multiple jurisdictions.

Dave is a member of the Institute of Directors, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, a member of Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments and a Trust and Estate Practitioner with the Society of Trusts & Estates Practitioners (‘STEP’).  Dave also has experience in distressed assets and is a member of ARIES (Association of restructuring and insolvency experts).

Having spent the last twenty-six of his thirty-four year finance career between Guernsey, Cayman and Bermuda Dave has gained extensive experience in international financial solutions with roles that include; being the ‘Chief Operating Officer’ of a Family Office which evolved into a multi-jurisdictional publicly listed wealth management company, a client focused executive as a ‘Country General Manager’ and most recently back to his roots in Funds, as local CEO of a specialist ‘Investment Funds Solutions Group’ – where he has served on multiple fund and licensee boards.

Dave likes to travel with his wife and kids, is a keen golfer and rugby fan, both of which he is happy to travel for; and he looks forward to the day his fourball contains his three kids (somewhere sunny).
